Coors Field ranks No. 5 among all MLB stadiums for 2026 season

Mar 30, 2026, 9:00 AM

As we gear up for Friday’s home opener against the Phillies, USA Today’s For the Win has ranked all 30 MLB stadiums, with Coors Field in Denver landing at No. 5 in the country — the highest-ranked ballpark in the Mountain West and one of just five venues to crack the top tier.

The home of the Colorado Rockies earned praise from the publication’s Andrew Joseph, who called it “an outstanding place to watch baseball.” No arguing with that!

“Coors Field being ranked this high might be a controversial pick for some, but I just love this ballpark,” Joseph wrote. “It’s surrounded by bars and restaurants, boasts some phenomenal views and is just an outstanding place to watch baseball. It’s not the stadium’s fault that the Rockies are unspeakably bad.”

USA Today’s For the Win ranks each ballpark based on general atmosphere, design, location, amenities, food and character. By those measures, Coors Field punches well above its weight. Nestled in Denver’s historic Lower Downtown neighborhood, the ballpark’s brick exterior blends seamlessly with the surrounding LoDo district, while the Rocky Mountains provide a dramatic backdrop visible from nearly every seat.

The accolades don’t end with the stadium experience. Coors Field also placed No. 5 on the separate USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Baseball Stadium Food, making it the only venue in the country to finish in the top five of both rankings. Its culinary program, managed by Aramark Sports + Entertainment, features an array of Colorado-inspired fare that has helped turn game day into a destination dining experience.

The ballpark’s location at 5,280 feet above sea level also makes it the most exciting offensive environment in baseball. Coors Field posted an overall park factor of 115 in 2025 — the highest in MLB — enhancing home runs and batting average while reducing strikeouts. For fans who want to see balls fly, there is no better seat in the house than one at 20th and Blake.

The Rooftop, the largest outdoor sports bar and terrace in America, gives fans a place to take in mountain views, cold beer and live baseball all at once. Don’t miss the happy hour up there before first pitch!

Denver’s ballpark ranked above iconic venues including Fenway Park (No. 6), Wrigley Field (No. 4), Dodger Stadium (No. 11) and Yankee Stadium (No. 25).
