Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Is Up for Best Zoo in the U.S.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs is nominated again for USA Today’s 10Best: Best Zoo in the U.S. And as much as I love a day at the Denver Zoo, Cheyenne Mountain has its own kind of magic.   It’s a truly unique experience, with incredible views and animals from all over the world. My favorites? The bears, the wolves, and feeding the giraffes. If you’ve done the giraffe feeding, you already know it’s unforgettable. And don’t even get me started on the SkyRide…those chairlift-style views over Colorado Springs are just plain stunning.    Last year, in 2025, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo was named No. 2 in the contest for the first time.
