By now everyone knows that it’s going to be extremely cold during the AFC Championship Game at Empower Field at Mile High on Sunday (Jan. 25), but thanks to technology staying warm isn’t as hard as it once was. Now the question is whether or not that tech is allowed in the stadium…
Over the last handful of years battery powered heated garments have really become popular. but they have also been banned from a lot of places.
So, the official word on whether or not you can wear them at Mile High depends on what kind of battery they use. here’s the official word:
Portable phone chargers and clothing with heating devices that include battery packs, such as heated socks, coats or blankets will be allowed. However, the restriction will be based off the battery pack:
Lithium-ion battery packs with a maximum size of 3” x 6”x 1″ are allowed. Battery packs with AA, C or D cell batteries are NOT allowed.
Nothing would be worse than having to walk back to your car, so make sure you have the allowed items before heading to the game.
