Denver Broncos receiver Pat Bryant released from hospital following hit against Jacksonville

Dec 22, 2025, 4:06 PM | Updated: 4:26 pm

There is little “good” Denver Broncos news in the days after suffering a bad loss to end their 11-game winning streak at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars, but here is something everyone should be pumped about…

Denver Broncos wide receiver Pat Bryant was released from the hospital Sunday night.

In the final seconds of the game versus the Jaguars, Bryant had to be carted off the field with what appeared to be a head/neck injury after he took a hit from Jacksonville defensive back Montaric Brown.

A source said Bryant had movement in his hands and legs and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation of concussion symptoms and not for neurological reasons.

At about 9 p.m. Sunday, four hours after the game, came word Bryant had been released from the hospital. He had a concussion, but nothing more.

As far as a return to the field goes for Bryant, NFL players are typically out for a few days to a few weeks after a concussion, with recent data showing a median of nine days missed (about one game), but it varies greatly depending on symptom severity, with some players held out for much longer, emphasizing a shift to more conservative management to ensure full recovery before returning to play.
