Just a day after Cheyenne Frontier Days revealed an amazing concert lineup for 2026, one of the most popular hangouts during that event has announced it will no longer keep it’s doors open.
Wyoming’s biggest bar, with a main floor spreading over 24,000 square feet, the Outlaw Saloon in Cheyenne has announced it will close this week.
The bar, featured as on of the “Top 10 Wild West Bars” in the United States by The Sydney Morning Herald announced on social media saying, “With heavy hearts we are announcing the closing of The Outlaw Saloon as of this Sunday. It’s been a good run with a lot of memories. Stop in if you have a chance to have a last drink with us. We will still have line dancing class for the final time this Saturday at 7:30pm.”
The honky-tonk has hosted large country shows over the years including Lady A, Colter Wall, Ian Munsick, Ned LeDoux, Rodney Atkins, Tracy Byrd and more, mostly during their Cheyenne Frontier Days after-parties.
There’s no word on if the business is for sale.
