Denver International Airport to open new security checkpoint on August 5

Denver International Airport’s brand-new East Security Checkpoint is opening on Aug. 5.
Not only will it help the load felt by the other checkpoints at the airport, but it’ll feature all of the latest tech to make your TSA experience as easy as possible. Here are some of the things the airport says the new checkpoint will feature:
1. It has 17 lanes total with three separate entrances
2. PreCheck and CLEAR will be offered and will have a separate entrance
3. This checkpoint will mirror West Security
4. Arrows will guide you to open lanes
5. Electronics and approved liquids remain in your bag and shoes now stay on your feet
6. Everything will go in a bin
After screening, you’ll head down the sparkly new triple escalator (or elevators) and catch the Train to the Gates or walk across the A-Bridge to Concourse A.
An almost identical checkpoint opened on the airport’s westside in February of 2024.
