Nothing says summer quite like a good ol’ belly flop contest, but over a grand on the line to the winner, and things may get kind of serious too!

Water World’s 28th annual belly flop competition will take place at 12 p.m. Sunday, June 29.

Up to 20 folks will show off their best belly flop to win cash prizes, including a grand prize of $1,100.

Contestants will flop from a 4-foot platform, with the top three scorers flopping from an 11-foot platform.

Flops will be judged 1-10 by a panel of judges including former stunt diver Professor Splash, Adams County Fair Queen Sidney Romo and 2024 winner Jocelyn Florez.

Online registration has closed, but walk-ups will be accepted in the event that registered contestants do not check in by 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Water World parkgoers can watch the belly flop competition at 12 p.m. Sunday in the Calypso Cove area.
