Caesars Sportsbook & Casino shared on their social media that a bettor in New York wagered $5 on the Colorado Rockies to win the World Series at +500000 odds. Meaning a win would pay $25,000!
For fun I did some math and found that if you bet $100 with the same odds a win would net you a cool $500,000.
With those odds, the casino is also telling you there is a .02% chance of this happening, so basically you might as well light you money on fire…. Still fun to think about, though!
