It’s only about 300 feet shorter than the actual Statue of Liberty in New York, but Denver now has it’s own Statue of Liberty…
Aurora is specifically home to the new 58-foot-tall public art sculpture.
Crews installed “Liberty,” a six-story-tall sculpture inspired by the Statue of Liberty, over the weekend at Hogan Park at Highlands Creek at The Aurora Highlands.
Weighing 37,000 pounds, “Liberty” is 26 feet taller than Denver’s Blucifer and 18 feet taller than the Blue Bear. So maybe it becomes an iconic part of the city too?
To access “Liberty” visitors can take 26th Avenue off of I-70 and turn left on the temporary construction road.
