BRANTLEY GILBERT Reunites With Military Friend at Red Rocks!

Oct 18, 2016, 3:31 PM | Updated: 3:44 pm

Brantley Gilbert just had a tearful reunion with an old friend.

Last year, Brantley met an Army veteran, Staff Sergeant Justin Patterson. Due to PTSD, the former sniper had barely left the house in two years, but he decided to join Brantley on his motorcycle ride for the Wounded Warrior Project. To thank the country star for everything he was doing for the military, Justin gave Brantley his first Purple Heart.

More than a year later, the two remain close friends, talking and texting nearly every day. During his show at Red Rocks on Saturday, Brantley brought his veteran friend onto the stage, and the two shared yet another tearful interaction — this time, in front of thousands of people.
