Evacuation sites and info for Alexander Mountain, Stone Canyon and Quarry fires

Jul 31, 2024, 1:43 PM | Updated: Aug 6, 2024, 3:28 pm

Partially due to a particularly long stint of hot and dry weather, it’s been an unfortunately wildfire-heavy few days on the Front Range, with three popping up since Monday: the Alexander Mountain fire, west of Loveland; the Stone Canyon fire, north of Lyons; and the Quarry fire, west of Ken Caryl in Deer Creek Canyon.

Evacuation orders have been issued to residents at risk from each fire, although Stone Canyon’s has since been lifted. Evacuees have several options in terms of where they can seek refuge and shelter. The shelters run by the American Red Cross (indicated below) are available to evacuees both day and night — food and water, supplies, support and information will be made available at each site.
