If you want to gamble near Denver, you don’t have to go far to get to Central City or Blackhawk, but soon there’ll be a new option a little further north just across the Wyoming/Colorado boarder.
Horse Palace at Swan Ranch, a 30,000 sq-ft complex, that is costing an estimated $25 million to build, is just a few miles outside of Colorado at exit 4 off of I-25
Wyoming has had slot machine gambling for a couple of years, where the games are actually Historical Horse Races, and that’s how they get away with it. No table games with dice or cards are allowed, but off-track horse racing bets will also be featured.
Oh, and Celebrity Chef Shawn Jackson will lead the kitchen, the High Plains Steakhouse.
Wyoming’s second Dunkin’ Donuts will also find a home there.
No exact opening date is set, but the hope is for the summer of 2024 sometime.
