19 Colorado businesses make Forbes’ best employers list

We all know Colorado is a great place to live, but according to Forbes, its also a great place to work, with 19 local businesses making the Forbes Best Employers list.

Forbes split between two different lists top 500 mid-sized employers and top 700 large employers.

For top mid-sized employers (1,000-5,000 employees), there were 10 Colorado companies that made the list, including the top honoree, which was Westminster spatial intelligence company Vantor, which ranked at No. 45. Children’s Hospital in Aurora was ranked No. 65 for the large companies.

The nine large companies that made the top 700 were:

#182 – ARCADIS in Highlands Ranch
#206 – University of Colorado in Boulder
#414 – Advanced Energy Industries
#450 – Arrow Electronics in Centennial
#577 – VF in Denver
#632 – Alterra Mountain Company in Denver
#660 – Gates in Denver

The 10 mid-sized companies that made the top 500 were:

#91 – PCL Construction in Denver
#227 – Coorstek in Golden
#258- Hensel Phelps Construction in Greeley
#276 – Crocs in Broomfield
#317 – #Regional Transportation District in Denver/Aurora
#399 – Ardent Mills in Denver
#431 – Air Methods in Denver
#475 – American Furniture Warehouse in Englewood
#491 – Goodwill of Colorado in Colorado Springs
