Zach Bryan has been very vocal about his love of American literature. Authors like Steinbeck, Faulkner and Jack Kerouac are among his favorites. Now, according to Kerouac’s estate, the “Pink Skies” singer is making it his personal mission to share the life and art of his favorite literary. Earlier this month, Zach Bryan purchased a former church in Kerouac’s hometown of Lowell, Massachusetts. He will help personally fund a transformation of historic building into what will be called the Jack Kerouac Center. It will be a cultural hub of sorts, which will house exhibits and host live music, public readings and community events.
Megan Moroney has opened up about how her music has helped fans navigate some of their toughest times. One letter that stood out to her was from a young girl who was being bullied in school. The fan said Megan’s song “Bless Your Heart” was the only reason she was able to find the confidence to get through it. The “Tennessee Orange” singer said it is interactions like these that help fuel her inspiration to keep writing music that means something.
