Yesterday’s Record Setting Heat in Denver Could Be Eclipsed by Today

Sep 2, 2019, 7:13 AM

Yesterday at 1:17pm, the readout at Denver International Airport hit 98 degrees Fahrenheit. That is the highest temperature mark ever recorded in the month of September for Denver. It broke the previous mark of 97 originally set in 1995 and hit 5 times, most recently in September of 2017.

But things are looking like they could be even hotter today with many forecasters predicting a high temperature of 99 at the city’s official monitoring station at the airport.
