Will Denver’s last drive-in movie theater be open in 2025?

Now that spring is upon us in Denver, we’ve got Rockies games to go to, trails to hit and drive-in movies to watch! However, a few years ago Denver’s last drive-in theater announced it was closing, so will that even be an option this year?

The short answer is yes. Although they haven’t been active on their social media since January, the 88 Drive-In in Commerce City posted to Facebook on November 29 of last year, “See you in the spring for our 49th season.”

The theater has been open since 1972, and in 2023 they announced they were closing to make room for a large warehouse. There’s been no official comment about the future of the project by the theater, but they keep blessing us with the good news of reopening.

The 88 Drive-In Theatre opened for the 2024 season on May 10 but there’s no word on when the 2025 season will start.
