There was a time when Colorado was always at the top of any “happiest states” lists, and why wouldn’t it be. Just look outside… But for some reason we are not happy anymore!

All 50 states were ranked by Wallethub based on 30 different metrics, including stuff like: Emotional and physical health, career satisfaction, unemployment, life expectancy, depression, sleep,  and weather.

The Top 10 Happiest States in the U.S.

  1. Hawaii
  2. Maryland
  3. New Jersey
  4. Utah
  5. Delaware
  6. Minnesota
  7. Connecticut
  8. Idaho
  9. Nebraska
  10. Massachusetts

Oh and you have to scroll way past the top 10 to find Colorado at number 35! We ranked really well in “sports participation” coming in at #1, but really bad at “community and environment” ranking 48th.
