When’s the next time Colorado will see a total solar eclipse?

Most of us remember the madness surrounding the solar eclipse back in 2017. Now some of the U.S. is gearing up for another total solar eclipse on April, 8th, but sadly Colorado will have to sit this one out.

The good news is that Colorado will eventually be in the path of totality for a total solar eclipse. The bad news is that it won’t be for the next 21 years.

NASA confirmed that the next total solar eclipse where Colorado is in the path of totality is on Aug. 12, 2045.

Right now, NASA only has a basic map of the path of the totality of the eclipse, but it does look like much of our state will be covered:
