What’s the Coldest It’s Ever Been in Denver?

Jan 12, 2024, 4:31 PM

With a polar vortex and some extremely cold temperatures about to take over Denver, a lot of people are wondering how these cold temps matchup against the coldest the city has ever seen.

Depending on where you live in the Denver metro area, temps during the cold front this weekend and into next week could dip down into the negative teens, but that’s really not even close to as cold as it’s been in the past…

Many of the coldest days in history took place in early January, right around this time, although some were over 100 years ago.
