Water World ranks among America’s best water parks again

Good news for Colorado thrill-seekers: Water World is making waves again.
The Federal Heights favorite just landed at No. 5 on USA Today’s list of the best outdoor water parks in the country. Not too shabby for a spot right outside Denver.
The rankings were put together with help from a panel of experts, then readers voted for their favorites. And honestly, if you’ve ever spent a summer day at Water World, this one feels pretty on brand.
This year’s top 10 includes parks from Texas, Florida, Indiana and beyond, but Colorado proudly held its own:
- Splashway Waterpark, Sheridan, Texas
- Splashin’ Safari, Santa Claus, Indiana
- Island H2O Water Park, Kissimmee, Florida
- Lost Island Waterpark, Waterloo, Iowa
- Water World, Federal Heights, Colorado

- Noah’s Ark Waterpark, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin
Even better? Water World opens May 23 with a brand-new attraction: Summit Canyon. The new area also features Lookout Tower, now the tallest point in the park.
