She may be a famous actress, but Kate Hudson has been surrounded by music all her life: from being the daughter of the Hudson Brothers’ singer Bill Hudson, to starring in one of the greatest rock n’ roll films ever (“Almost Famous”), to romances with famous rock stars (Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes, whom she married, and Matt Bellamy of Muse, most notably). So she knows what goes into a career in music. Talent is important, of course too, and she showed that off in Colorado this last week!

Over the weekend she played a gig in Aspen, Colorado, where she showed off her vocal ability, and if she wants a career in music, it wouldn’t be hard, because the lady has SKILLS!!

This is the second year in a row she has put on a concert at Aspen’s Hotel Jerome.

She performed many of her own original songs mixed with some covers that ranged from Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey” to The Rolling Stones’ “Beast of Burden” and Ariana Grande’s “We Can’t Be Friends.” Hudson also sprinkled some holiday songs throughout the set.

Check out a piece of Kate’s performance here…
