Vintage Arby’s neon sign removed from Denver after over 50 years

Mar 4, 2024, 5:04 PM

If you drove down Federal Boulevard in Westminster over the last 50 plus years, you likely saw the vintage Arby’s cowboy hat neon sign. The sign was more iconic than the roast beef sandwiches they served inside, but sadly it’s been removed…

The restaurant at 7055 Federal Boulevard opened in featuring the massive sign reading, “Arby’s Roast Beef Sandwich is Delicious.” Unfortunately, after lighting up the fast food restaurant for 54 years, the sign was officially removed near the end of February 2024.

The good news is, Save the Signs, which features notable old signs in Colorado on social media, says the sign is now the property of a resident of Steamboat Springs who collects these kinds of memorabilia and plans to eventually put the old sign on display at its new home.

Also, there is still one more Arby’s sign in this style standing at Sheridan Boulevard and West 44th Avenue that, for now, appears to be there to stay.
