Denver, CO — With over 19,000 cities in the U.S., two Colorado cities are in the top 25 most expensive places to live.  According to the U.S. News and World Report, Denver and Boulder are high up on the list. Many we live in the city and town would admit that this comes as no surprise.

More specifically, Denver ranks at number 16 and Boulder sits at number 23.

For those curious, the top five most expensive cities in order are San Diego, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Miami, FL and Santa Barbara.

U.S. News and World Report claims they made their basis on the median gross rent and annual housing costs for mortgage-paying homeowners of each metro area. Consequently, the cities they chose require the most wealth to live comfortably.
