Three Denver Restaurants Named to USA Today’s ‘Best Cheap Places to Eat’ List

Sep 15, 2023, 2:44 PM

There’s been a lot of news this week about some Colorado restaurants being awarded the Michelin Star, and that’s special, cool, and a huge accomplishment, but I promise you that you won’t find a “cheap” meal in any of those places. So, the list that came out today is a little more budget friendly, but still cool too…

USA Today published the results from a data analysis that involved Google Reviews, that determined where the highest-rated ‘cheap places to eat’ were located around the country. Three Denver spots landed among the top 100 picks of 28,000 budget-friendly restaurants that were considered in the report.

The highest ranking spot in Denver was Turtle Boat, ranking 15th nationwide. This restaurant specializes in serving up customizable and sustainable poke bowls from behind a humble counter.

Urban Burma ranked at number 43. Urban Burma is all about Burmese cuisine, including noodle-based dishes, beef curry, and more.

The third Denver restaurant featured on the list was Rise & Shine Biscuit Kitchen, ranking 52nd overall. This restaurant specializes in biscuits, and sandwiches made with them. There are three Rise & Shine locations around the Denver area.

Here’s the full USA Today list.
