It’s hard to imagine a National Western Stock Show without the music, dancing, and fun that the Stockyard Saloon provided for years, but this was supposed to be the first year without it…but not so fast!
The historic spot near the National Western Stock Show closed in April 2025 due to lease issues with new building owners despite efforts to keep it open. Although a new Denver Stockyard Saloon has opened in Lakewood, that’s a long way from the grounds of the Stock Show.
Enter the Wide Open Saloon, the beloved Sedalia entertainment and dining destination, will bring a residency to The Exchange at the National Western Complex from January 8 through midnight on January 24. Throughout the National Western Stock Show, “Wide Open @ The Stockyards” will deliver the venue’s signature energy during the Stock Show with no-cover-charge entertainment each day, plus the music, dancing and food we all have come to expect.
The pop-up bar will be open each day from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. with food from Riot BBQ, live entertainment and drinks.
