The U.S. Forest Service to hire hundreds of firefighters in Colorado

If you saw the recent wildfires in Colorado and thought, “I’d like to help put those out,” here may be your chance…

The U.S. Forest Service will be hiring for 250 firefighting positions in the Rocky Mountain Regio, which includes Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming.

The firefighting positions include hotshot crew members, hand crew members, fire prevention specialists, airtanker technicians, airtanker base managers, fuels technicians, assistant fire management officers, dispatchers, engine operators, and more.

The jobs are open to any United States citizen or national over the age of 18, and the application window is August 23 to September 24, 2024.
