ProRodeo Hall of Fame may leave Colorado after almost 50 years

The ProRodeo Hall of Fame has called Colorado Springs home since its opening in 1979. But after 46 years, it may be leaving Colorado…

On November 5, the ProRodeo Cowboys Association sent an email to the committees and members of the PRCA regarding a possible relocation of the ProRodeo Hall of Fame to Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Cheyenne LEADS, an organization that focuses on attracting business to the Cheyenne area, had contacted the PRCA with interest of moving the ProRodeo Hall of Fame to Wyoming’s capital city.

The PRCA says although the idea has been thought through and discussed at length, there’s no pending vote from their board of directors on when or if they would accept an offer. If the organization decides to relocate, the process would take several years.

The PRCA employs about 85 people locally. They said employees would have the option to move if relocation is approved.
