If you’ve seen the movie “Happy Gilmore,” you’ve seen Morris the alligator. Sadly, the famous gator who called Colorado home has died.
The gator that was also in movies like “Dr. Doolittle 2” and others called the Colorado Gators Reptile Park in Mosca, Colorado, near Alamosa, home for the last 19 years.
While the farm doesn’t know his exact age, they estimate that based on his size and teeth, he was at least 80 or 90 years old. He may have even been 100 years old.
Morris was found in a backyard in Los Angeles as an illegal pet when he was estimated to be about 10 to 20 years old. Morris was given to the only person in the city with the right permits, someone in the film industry, and the rest was history.
