Terri Clark reveals why Blake Shelton moved on from his mullet | Music City Minute

Jun 10, 2024, 3:16 PM | Updated: 3:18 pm

Terri Clark revealed an interesting secret about Blake Shelton. For much of his early career, Blake rocked the long mullet. Many fans were surprised when he cut it off, with many thinking he was finally getting with the times. However, Clark said the actual reason has to do with a fan interaction. At the time of the incident, “Girls Lie Too” and “Austin” were competing in the charts. That being said, both artists had scheduled appearances at CMA Fest. Blake Shelton was on his way to a meet and greet and fans lined up in the area could only see his back. Turns out, the fans were confused as to who they were seeing and started yelling “Terri, Terri, Terri!” So, it would seem, Blake’s actual motivation for cutting his locks was being mistaken for a woman. By the way, when asked if Terri was upset by the misidentification, she said, heck no, she wasn’t. It’s a compliment because Shelton has a better backside than her.
