Stamps commemorating Colorado’s 150th year as a state are coming this January
Jan 8, 2026, 5:15 PM
Stamps aren’t as popular as they once were for obvious reasons, but if you’re a proud Coloradan, even if you aren’t mailing anything, you may want to pick some up later this month!
A new forever stamp will celebrate Colorado’s sesquicentennial anniversary, marking 150th years since the state entered the Union.
The forever stamp features a photograph of Jagged Mountain by the late John Fielder, showing scenery often associated with a state whose Rocky Mountain peaks later inspired the lyrics to “America the Beautiful.”
The stamps go on sale starting Jan. 24, but are available for pre-order online now.
A dedication ceremony for the stamp at History Colorado Center in Denver will take place Saturday, Jan. 24, at 9:00 a.m. MST.
