Sometimes country girls just need inside-voices and wide-open spaces | Music City Minute

Over the last few weeks, Kelly Clarkson and Ella Langley chose to step out of the spotlight for some much-needed rest and recuperation. Before going on hiatus, both leading ladies had discussed emotional, physical and mental health challenges that needed to be addressed in private. In early August, Kelly Clarkson canceled several of her Las Vegas residency shows, in order to support her children through the passing of their father and her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. As for Ella Langley, shooting to superstardom has been a mixed bag of highs and lows – made even more complicated by Imposter Syndrome. Thankfully, the entertainment icons seem to be in a much better place with both breaking their radio silence last week. Clarkson posted a throwback picture from her American Idol win and thanked fans for their support over the last 23 years.  Langley revealed that touching grass, eating real food as well as spending time with family and friends was just what the doctor ordered and she’s ready to “Get back at it!”
