Friday morning, sky gazers will have a happy site in the sky, as a celestial “smiley face” will make an appearance.
About an hour before sunrise, look toward the eastern sky and the way the moon, which will be in its crescent phase, will rise will be below Venus and Saturn, which will create the smiley face effect.
The morning of April 25, the sun is set to rise in Denver at 6:07 a.m., and the ideal time to see the smiley face will be about 45 minutes prior to that.
In NASA’s sky watching tips for April, they say you can find Venus, Saturn and the crescent moon gathered low in the east as dawn warms the morning sky. Mercury is also visible below them for those with a clear view to the horizon.
After enjoying the smiley face in the sky, make sure you Wake the Fun Up with Tracy & Fizz, weekday mornings from 6 to 10 a.m.!
