SMC: Fancy Like Xmas & The Opry

I know it is pretty early in the season however, I’m gonna call it now: Walker Hayes wins Christmas. Hayes released the official video for Fancy Like Christmas and it is everything we hoped it would be. The video has lights, a coffee Karen, Santa, Jesus Christo and the Hayes family dancing in jammies! Now, I understand Kane Brown and Jon Pardi put out some new Christmas jams, but Fancy Like Christmas is hands down my favorite. I foresee Hayes’ bop being the most played party song of the season.

Scotty McCreery got an early Christmas gift that left him speechless! On Sunday night, McCreery was performing at the Grand Ole Opry. During his set, he was surprised by Garth Brooks, who, handed the Five More Minutes singer a wrapped gift. Brooks instructed McCreery to not open the box until Christmas. Why? Brooks explains that the gift Scotty is about to receive isn’t actually here yet, but this is merely an invitation. Scotty knew what was coming next – Garth officially extended an invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry. McCreery had no words, but his excitement was palpable. The video posted by the Opry cuts off before Scotty can answer, but I’m guessing it was a resounding “yes!”
