Sheena
Weekdays | 10am - 2pm
Hi, my name is Sheena! I am a Colorado native, born in Denver and raised in Castle Rock. I was first bit by the radio bug when I was just knee-high to a grasshopper. My family was attending Octoberfest in Denver where 98.5 KYGO was on-site with the broadcast R.V. (Michelle Grove and I have talked about this many times). The air staff was nice enough to let me request Brooks & Dunn live on-air and that afternoon, my future was cemented. I graduated from the Ohio Center for Broadcasting (now the Colorado Broadcasting School) in 2003. With the help of awesome instructors like JJ Pellini, I gained the skills to secure my first radio job in Colorado Springs. I would spend the better part of a decade in SoCo wearing just about every hat except sales. In that time, I also welcomed two amazing boys, Weylen and Tomas. After some time away from radio, I jumped back in with both feet here at Bonneville, Denver in 2016. I quickly moved from Saturday night-host on KOSI 101.1 to full-time overnights on 98.5 KYGO. Now that I have come full-circle, I am SO grateful for the opportunity to host the midday show on the legendary KYGO every day! Outside of work, my husband, Sean and I enjoy taking Weylen and Tomas to concerts, spending time with family, exploring historical/ paranormal sites, camping, fishing, writing music and narrating the inner monologue of our two our Aussies – Alto and Tater.
