Should the Denver Broncos trade Jarrett Stidham? The team claims others want the backup QB

After a disastrous AFC Championship Game for the Denver Broncos, should the team get rid of the guy who played quarterback for them in the loss?
The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported Wednesday (Mar. 4) that multiple NFL teams have contacted the Broncos regarding a potential trade involving the veteran backup QB, Jarrett Stidham.
The New York Jets have been rumored to potentially have the most interest in “Stiddy,” who is said to have a great relationship with Broncos’ starter Bo Nix. Could that friendship help keep the backup in Denver?
Money may have more to do with a move than anything. Stidham is due to collect $5.99 million in base salary and count $8 million against Denver’s salary cap for the 2026 season. Trading him pre-June 1 would clear $6.5 million in cap room while leaving behind $1.5 million in dead money.
