Miss Dolly Parton is a gift that keeps on giving. The country legend’s new album, Rockstar, debuted at #1 on six different Billboard charts: Top Rock Albums, Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Country Albums, Top Album Sales, Top Current Album Sales and Independent Albums. The latest #1 debut on the Country Albums chart marks Miss Dolly’s 48th Top 10 entry and 8th #1 entry – which has set her a new record. She now holds the title of most top 10 albums achieved by a female artist!

With so many achievements to her name, it’s hard to believe that folks doubted her. I read an interview one time where Miss Dolly talked about her high school graduation. The seniors were asked to stand and say what they wanted to do after high school. When it was Miss Dolly’s turn, she confidently stood up and said “move to Nashville and be a country music singer.” The entire auditorium laughed at her. No one thought this tiny blonde girl from Pigeon Forge, Tennessee would become a global super-star. I guess it’s Miss Dolly who got the last laugh.

The 30 song banger, Rockstar, features nine original songs and 21 covers. It’s available at most major retailers and online.

Speaking of new albums, some of our favorite artists are gearing up for releases next year:
