Scotty McCreery’s tough (but necessary) decision, Luke Combs left speechless by country icon’s gift | Music City Minute

Hurricane Erin has unfortunately rained on Scotty McCreery’s parade. The “Five More Minutes” singer was looking forward to an outdoor concert in North Carolina this week. However, with the arrival and projected path of the hurricane, McCreery’s team didn’t want to take any chances and postponed the show till next spring. Even though the category-two storm is predicted to stay offshore, North Carolina’s, Outer Banks were strongly affected by powerful storm surges and deadly riptides.
Luke Combs has opened up about a surprise gift he received from Garth Brooks, that had him shook! According to Combs, a while back, he was sitting at home feeding his son, Tex, when his manager pulled up in a new Ford Bronco Raptor. Understandably, the Croc-rocking star was utterly confused as to why country icon would give him a nearly one-hundred-thousand-dollar vehicle. Eventually, all was made clear during a phone call, when Brooks told Combs he was so impressed with the “Beautiful Crazy” singer’s performance of “Beaches of Cheyenne” during the National Songwriter Award Ceremony a year earlier, he felt Combs deserved an unforgettable, “Thank you,” gift.
