Sam’s Club to stop checking receipts when you exit the store

Sick of the long lines trying to leave Sam’s Club because they are checking customers receipts? According to their parent company Walmart, they will soon be ending the process of checking receipts on your way out of the store.
Walmart says that an improvement in their latest technology will allow them to use a “first-of-its-kind application of artificial intelligence” to let customers exit the store much quicker after paying for their goods.
They are already testing the technology in 10 of their locations, and it should be able to confirm that all of the items in their cart are already paid for prior to them exiting the store.
Sam’s Club says over half of their members are seeing an improvement with the process in those pilot stores and they hope to integrate the technology into almost 600 of their clubs by the end of 2024.
