Salute The Troops

Jacob Waldick

Jacob Waldick is going into his senior year at Ralston Valley High School and he was recruited out of the western metro recruiting sub-station. Jacob wrote the following about his desire to become a Marine. We salute Jacob for his recent decision to take on one of the most honorable of all endeavors – the challenge of becoming a member of the U.S. Marines

“Ever since I was little I was taught to work hard, look out for my family and friends, do the right thing even when no one is watching, to be grateful, and take nothing for granted especially the amazing place we call home. I soon gained an urge to go into the military as soon as I could and help defend this great nation. The Marine Corps stuck out far more than any other branch because of the brotherhood and challenge. The trust in knowing whatever happens you always have your fellow Marines by your side. Marines strive to better themselves, their brothers and sisters, and the world every day, while never quitting and taking on every obstacle they come across. This is why I Jacob Waldick, want to be a United States Marine.”
