Red Rocks Amphitheatre breaks records with big year in 2023

Dec 28, 2023, 7:49 AM

Colorado is blessed to be home of one of the most iconic concert venues in the world, and that venue, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, had their biggest year in history breaking several records in 2023!

Red Rocks, which is nestled along the mountains in Morrison, Colorado was home to almost 200 concerts and hosted over 1.4 million people in attendance.

The venue also hosted some big country artists you can hear on 98.5 KYGO including Zach Bryan, Old Dominion, Jon Pardi and more!

The iconic Amphitheatre is known for more than just its concerts though as many people frequent it on weekends to work out, and the venue itself holds Yoga On The Rocks as well as other events like Film on the Rocks and graduations.

According to The Denver Post, those that arrived with an appetite were most likely to order hot dogs, with over 65,000 being sold. (Over 2x more than the next items which were the tacos and nachos)

If you’ve never been to Red Rocks Amphitheatre, you’re in luck as many 2024 events have already been announced, check out their events calendar.

Some other interesting information regarding the historic venue:  Red Rocks Amphitheatre is one of only two Denver National Historic Landmarks, the other being Civic Center Park in Denver. If you feel winded climbing from the first row to the top that’s because of the 100 foot rise in elevation (on top of Red Rocks already being approximately 6,450 feet in elevation, over 1000 more than a Mile High!)  And speaking of country artists who have performed there, the legendary Dolly Parton didn’t perform her first show at the venue until she was 70 years old!
