Red Rocks allows United Airlines cardholders to bid on tickets using points

Interesting news for concert lovers, as the official start of summer is almost upon us. United Airlines announced a new partnership with Red Rocks which will allow cardholders to use their credit card points to bid for concert tickets to the iconic Red Rocks.
For many, going to a show at Red Rocks is a bucket list item. This will allow those with enough points to ‘bid’ on a chance at the tickets. If you win, then the points would be deducted from your account.
It’s not a straight out purchase and can be kind of confusing, so here is how it works:
MileagePlus members can bid for a chance to win two tickets to see Maggie Rogers on May 27 or James Taylor on June 2.
There is another way to win as well, United and Red Rocks are offering a Red Rocks Amphitheatre Performance Travel Package, which anyone can enter until June 5 for a chance to win a trip, which includes travel, hotel and two concert tickets at the music venue.
At the moment, you can’t outright purchase Red Rocks tickets with your United points, but that could change in the future.
Would you bid points to win concert tickets at Red Rocks?
