UPDATE: As of 11:15am, DIA Social Media has posted that “Power has been restored and airport operations are beginning to resume. Please be patient as we return operations to normal. Continue to check with your airline for current flight information.”

Denver International Airport is under a ground stop after a power outage caused equipment failures on Wednesday morning.

Airport officials reported that crews are working to restore power, but as of 9:20 a.m. the outage was affecting areas including bathrooms, moving walkways and the trains that connect terminals.

“Technicians are working as quickly as possible to restore power,” the airport posted on social media. “We will share updates as soon as we have them.”

The Federal Aviation Administration reported that departures to the airport were grounded. Passengers should check with their airline for flight status updates.
