Popular Chicago Hot Dog Joint, Portillo’s, is Looking at Coming to Colorado

Sep 21, 2023, 5:13 PM | Updated: Jan 18, 2024, 11:42 am

Two food items you just try when you go to Chicago… Deep dish pizza at Pizzeria Uno and a Chicago dog at Portillo’s. Although soon, the latter may just come right to you in Colorado!

Portillo’s confirms it is looking to enter Colorado, including the Denver market, for the first time as part of its long-term plan to scale the brand and open new locations across the country.

The fast-casual restaurant concept is known for its menu of Chicago-style favorites, including hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, char-grilled burgers and chocolate cake.

Portillo’s currently operates 77 full-scale restaurants across 10 states. Earlier this year the restaurant celebrated its 60th anniversary in Illinois.

No word on when or exactly where the chain is targeting in Colorado.
