Northern Colorado’s newest fall festival brings truck pulls, pie and live music to Kersey on Oct. 3

If your idea of a perfect fall Saturday involves smoked brisket, a slice of homemade pie and a tractor doing its best to drag a giant sled as far as it can across the dirt, go ahead and clear your calendar for Oct. 3.
The first-ever Kersey Autumn Jubilee is taking over Weld County this Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 25490 County Road 58 near Kersey. Organizers call it a celebration of community and agriculture, with the tagline “Uniting the roots of community & agriculture!”
The day kicks off with an antique tractor pull from 10 a.m. to noon, when the vintage machines get their chance to show off. At noon, the BBQ and pie competition opens, and it runs “until it’s gone,” so if you want a taste, don’t show up at dinnertime. From 3 to 6 p.m., the NSPA Truck & Tractor Pull brings out the heavy hitters, and the ground will shake. Between the big events, there’s food, drinks, vendors and kids’ activities, so the whole family can make a day of it.
Then Kelsey Jo & The Wild Cards close things out with a live set from 7 to 9 p.m. It’s a good way to wind down after a full day of barbecue, pie and diesel smoke.
Tickets are available online at kerseyautumnjubilee.com or at the gate. Kersey sits just east of Greeley, about an hour’s drive from Denver, and the Jubilee is the kind of small-town day you don’t get in the city.
