New Johnny Cash album released | Music City Minute

A new Johnny Cash album was released, and it kind of flew under the radar. “Songwriter” dropped on June 28. It features 11 deep-cut and previously unreleased recordings. One song called “Hello Out There,” now has an official music video. It features Grace June Cash, granddaughter to Johnny and June and daughter to John Carter Cash. The video follows Grace as she explores the family cabin, where she unearths many artifacts including instruments and hand written lyrics. Johnny Cash was inspired to write “Hello Out There” following the Voyager space launch. The song dates back to at least the early 80s. Also, fun fact, Marty Stewart was recruited to play guitar on the remastered version of the song.
