Turns out that you can indeed make a hotel look a lot like an aspen tree…

A 13-story hotel in next to Denver’s Civic Center Park that looks just Colorado’s famous aspen trees is about to open after two and a half years of construction.

The Populus hotel is scheduled to open Tuesday (Oct. 22) with grand opening festivities happening later next week.

The 13-story, 135,000-square-foot hotel, at 14th Street and Colfax Avenue, cost more than $100 million to build. It will be the first carbon-positive hotel in the U.S., meaning it will actively remove more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere than it emits throughout its lifecycle.

A quick Google search showed the cheapest room rates in the near future are in the $190/night range.
