The National Western Stock Show’s 2025 Kick-Off Parade, scheduled for Thursday ahead of the Stock Show’s start on Saturday, has been delayed.
The parade, previously set to start at noon outside of Union Station, will now start at 1 p.m. due to forecasted weather conditions.
According to the NWSS’s press release, “The decision was made in coordination with the National Weather Service, city officials and transportation advisors to ensure the safety of animals, riders, parade participants and spectators. Adjusting the start time will allow for improved conditions during the event.”
9NEWS’ forecast notes that parade day will be “Cold with morning snow likely.” The high temperature will be 29 degrees, with the low at 7.
The parade, featuring horse-drawn wagons, a Longhorn cattle drive and western riding groups, serves as a longtime tradition in the Mile High City, one that will march once again down 17th street until reaching the Glenarm Place cross street.
