It’s got to be hard enough to survive in the wilderness without your clothes. Imagine doing it without your clothes OR YOUR LEGS.

The 18th season of Naked and Afraid will feature the show’s first double amputee, and she’s from Colorado!

Her name is Mandy Horvath, she’s from Colorado Springs, and she lost her legs a decade ago in a, quote, “devastating and tragic accident.”

In a preview for the new season, she says, quote, “Ten years ago my life was changed forever. I have died three times and came back from that.

She adds, quote, “I get to be the first person on ‘Naked and Afraid’ with no [profanity] legs, and I think that’s pretty damn cool.”

In social media comments, Horvath has stated that she’s set to be featured on the first episode of the new season, which premieres on Discovery Channel at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on March 9.
