Morgan Wallen is being praised for his generosity towards his former high school. The “Sand In My Boots” singer attended Gibbs High School in Knox County, Tennessee. Not only was he a student, he was also on the 2010 state championship baseball team. Even though he is a global super star now, he hasn’t forgotten his roots. To date, he has donated more than $35,000 to enhance the school’s band, core and baseball programs. In appreciation for the singer’s contributions, the school has named their baseball field “Morgan Wallen Field.” Interestingly, Wallen’s buddy Ernest attended a rival school and recalls playing baseball against Morgan’s team. The pair have also been known to sport their corresponding high school jerseys at their concerts.
