Miranda Lambert receives legendary honor, Walker Hayes takes break from Oreo shakes | Music City Minute

Aug 26, 2025, 2:39 PM

Miranda Lambert has shared very exciting news with fans. The country icon has been chosen to be inducted into the Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame. Lambert’s body of work and accolades are a true testament to her unique storytelling ability. She is also equally excited to share the night’s honor with a true Texas legend, the King, George Strait. The class of 2026 induction ceremony will take place February 21 in Austin, Texas.
Walker Hayes has admitted his family is burned out on Applebee’s. It’s been three years since the song “Fancy Like” helped the restaurant become one of the most popular in America. In fact, the “Y’all Life” singer is directly responsible for the return of the iconic Oreo shake to the menu. To show their appreciation, the Applebee’s corporate office presented Hayes with a company gold card, which essentially allows the singer and his brood to eat for free for life. As great as that sounds, the family has apparently overindulged on Bourbon Street Steaks, and they are currently on a self-imposed Applebee’s cleanse.
